Deerfield Finance Committee approves $8,100 in reserve transfers and road stabilization fund. The Committee approved reserve fund transfers of $4,000 to the street lighting account for ongoing repairs and $1,000 to town owned buildings to cover Police Department maintenance costs. A third transfer of $3,100 to the Tilton Library passed 3-1, addressing a deficit caused by excessive electricity and telephone expenses.
Chair Julie Chalfant and members James Cambias, Margaret Nartowicz, and John Paresky also unanimously recommended establishing a stabilization fund for road work, with Nartowicz urging that the fund's uses be tightly defined.
