Deerfield Approves Treehouse Brewing Concert License With New Noise and Schedule Rules

DEERFIELD — December 17, 2025 — Deerfield approves Treehouse Brewing's 2026 entertainment license with formal noise and scheduling conditions for the first time. The Select Board voted 3-0 at its December 17 joint meeting with the Board of Health to attach seven conditions to the license, including a 10:30 p.m. concert end time for summer shows, a tighter 10 p.m. cutoff for any concerts held after August 31, and blackout dates on August 26 and 27 to protect the first days of school. Treehouse representative Sarah Deschenes said the company is investing in a new subwoofer array with audio consultant Klondike to reduce low-frequency propagation into neighboring homes, and the brewery's PA contractor must complete a formal sound study and report results to the board before any 2027 license renewal. Ticketed events above 600 attendees will require a signed emergency operations plan from six town public safety officials at least 120 days before the first concert. The board also voted 3-0 to sell a landlocked 0.184-acre surplus barn lot on Jewett Avenue to Orofall Americas Inc. for $50,000 — the only bid received after 30 days of open solicitation through the Franklin Regional Council of Governments.
