Tilton Library trustees approve $4,350 strategic planning contract

Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of February 4, 2026

DEERFIELD — Tilton Library trustees approve $4,350 strategic plan consultant. The Library Board voted 4 to 1 to hire Chelsea Jordan-Makely, a former director, to facilitate a five-year strategic plan through 2032 required for grant applications. Library Director Candace Bradbury-Carlin had presented two options, with Plan A including a strategic planning committee and greater collaboration.

In concurrent unanimous votes, the board and the jointly-meeting Tilton Fund approved a $14,010 donor wall from GVH of Bennington, Vermont, with the fund holding approximately $152,000 and contributing $22,000 annually to the municipal budget. The board deferred the DPW's revised maintenance budget request ($20,870) until a special meeting February 11.
