Tilton Library opening set for July 2026

DEERFIELD — Tilton Library Trustees chart July opening with October grand opening planned. Library Director Candace Bradbury-Carlin reported that elevator delays caused by weather and tariffs have pushed arrival to June 2026, clearing the way for the July opening. The capital campaign has raised approximately $1.6 million and will officially end July 1, 2026.
A grand opening celebration is tentatively set for October 1, 2026. The Trustees voted unanimously to approve the Volunteer Policy and formally recognized Nancy Maynard for finalizing legal documents separating the Tilton Trustees from the Tilton Fund; legal fees totaled $1,739.
