Shattuck Elected Chair of Deerfield Assessors

Deerfield Board of Assessors completes annual reorganization with unanimous votes on new leadership roles. Charles Shattuck was elected chair while Frank Leone was appointed to the Community Preservation Committee and Paul Olszewski to the Capital Improvements Committee. The three-member board also approved routine administrative matters including FY 2026 expense encumbrances, property-related filings under state law, and the Tax Collector's uncollectible tax list for 2023.
The clerk was directed to remove a decedent's name from property records. The board held a closed executive session to review motor vehicle excise tax abatements.
