Senior Housing Committee reviews RFP criteria and developer qualifications.

Ad Hoc Senior Housing Committee · Meeting of February 11, 2026

DEERFIELD — Ad Hoc Senior Housing Committee reviews RFP criteria and developer qualifications. Chair Lili Dwight and members Carolyn Shores Ness, Pam Predmore, and C. Blake Gilmore examined minimum threshold criteria for prospective developers, deciding to require experience with at least two projects of similar scope and complexity.

The committee discussed potential lottery preferences for veterans and people with disabilities but expressed uncertainty about feasibility. Members also heard updates on a Conway School survey of resident housing needs and a pending state response on unspecified RFP matters. A new Franklin Tech School building project could cost Deerfield approximately $600,000 annually for 30 years.
