Senior Center Board approves dual FY27 budgets

DEERFIELD — South County Senior Center Board approves dual FY27 budgets. The Board of Oversight unanimously approved $256,795 for the center's current facility at 22 Amherst Road and $448,912 for a proposed location at 112 Amherst Road in Sunderland, with the latter carrying estimated annual rent of $168,000. Board member Trevor McDaniel moved approval of both budgets, seconded by Daniel Murphy, with Joyce Palmer-Fortune also present.
Director Jennifer Ferrara presented both scenarios as the board considers the center's space needs.
