Deerfield Selectboard approves poles for Eaglebrook solar project. The board unanimously approved a petition to install eight new utility poles and four push braces on Keets Road to extend 3-phase power for the school's solar installation, with members Tim Hilchey, Trevor McDaniel, and Blake Gilmore voting 3-0-0. It authorized its Chair to sign the installation order and unanimously backed a letter of support for Phil Nash's Underutilized Property Program application for 6 Rail Road Yard Road.
The board also hired Wyatt Dejnak for seasonal Department of Public Works help starting June 22, 2026, and discussed speed-reduction options for North Hillside Road. South Deerfield Water Supply free cash for FY26 was certified at 348,668 dollars.
