Connecting Community Initiative · Meeting of February 12, 2026

Deerfield committee receives reports on budget crisis and infrastructure project progress. The Connecting Community Initiative Committee unanimously approved January 15 meeting minutes and heard reports describing a town-wide budget crisis driven by 40 percent healthcare cost increases. The library, which has raised 1.52 million in renovation funding, faces significant operating cost increases and needs special budget meeting approval.
