Deerfield Planning Board advances accessory dwelling unit bylaw amendments. Denise Mason, Planning Board Chair, convened the June 15 meeting to review revised Chapter 179 amendments that would allow local ADUs up to 1,200 square feet by special permit while preserving existing provisions. The board directed staff to transmit the draft to Town Counsel for legal review prior to the July 13 meeting, with a public hearing scheduled for early August.
Dimensional changes to lot size and frontage requirements were deferred pending consultation with town assessors on property tax implications.
