Finance Committee recommends FY2027 salary and operations budgets

DEERFIELD — Finance Committee recommends nearly $641,000 in FY2027 town appropriations, including $87,780 for Assessors Administration Salary, $154,243 for Treasurer and Collector Salary, and $108,000 for General Insurance. Chair Julie Chalfant's committee also authorized a $110,000 payment from free cash for FY2026 Snow and Ice overage. The Committee approved a modification to the Town Building Maintenance budget that reallocates $4,740 to the Library account without increasing overall town spending, helping the Tilton Library meet state standards.
A proposed reduction in Conservation Agent hours was tabled pending discussion with the Conservation Agent.
