Finance Committee approves FY2027 budget line items

Deerfield Finance Committee approves $557,000 in FY2027 budget items. Finance Committee Chair Julie Chalfant and members voted unanimously on Summer Swim Program at $3,338 (down 44.4 percent) and Tri-Town Beach at $39,078 (up 3.29 percent). The committee amended Tilton Library from $291,474 to $230,232 with a 4-0-1 vote, moving power and maintenance costs to the town budget to satisfy state requirements.
Additional unanimous approvals include Recreation Director Salary at $36,694 for a now-part-time position (down 8.3 percent) and FRCOG Assessment at $44,678 (up 7.75 percent).
