Finance Committee · Meeting of March 2, 2026
DEERFIELD — Finance Committee recommends 2027 budgets for two new positions. Julie Chalfant's committee voted unanimously to approve $108,899 for Assessors Office administrative salary, a 25.22 percent increase to fund a new Principal Assessor replacing the retiring Administrative Assistant, with Christopher Dunne arguing the new position will cost less than the current assistant plus an outside contract that expires in August. The committee also approved $31,769 for a new part-time Conservation Agent position at 18 hours per week after amending from an initially proposed $42,357 for 24 hours.
Board of Health Payroll moved to $107,412, up 3.41 percent for step increases and cost-of-living adjustments.
