Deerfield Finance Committee approves nearly $349,000 in miscellaneous fiscal 2027 budget line items. Committee members, meeting jointly with the Select Board via Zoom, unanimously approved $271,597 for contracted services, $51,176 for other post-employment benefits (approved 4-1), $14,000 for town office expense, $6,000 for IT hardware, $4,000 for PEG Access capital, and $1,000 for the Planning Board. Franklin Tech Superintendent Rick Martin presented the district's proposed $238 million new building with a $120 million Massachusetts School Building Authority grant offer.
