Deerfield Sets Oct. 3 Date for Annual Town-Wide Tag Sale
DEERFIELD — Deerfield's Annual Town-Wide Tag Sale is set for Saturday, Oct. 3, with an Oct. 4 rain date, the town's News Flash confirmed this week. Anyone who wants to sell needs a permit from the Selectboard first.

The town-wide tag sale is the marquee item on this week's News Flash. A Selectboard permit is required of participating households, and the application and other details are posted on the town's website.
Two other department items also came through the News Flash. The Deerfield Fire Station will host a flu clinic later this month, and the Recreation Department announced new Pilates classes for residents.

Town boards are busy over the next week. The Personnel Board meets Sept. 21 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the Franklin Regional Transit Authority's Finance and Audit Committee meets the same morning in Greenfield.
The Selectboard, Board of Health and Sewer Commissioners hold an executive session Sept. 23 at 5 p.m., followed by their regular meeting from 6 to 9 p.m. at 8 Conway St. in South Deerfield. The Conservation Commission meets Sept. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m., and the South County Senior Center Board of Oversight meets the same evening in Sunderland.
Also on Sept. 24, the flu clinic announced in this week's News Flash runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Deerfield Fire Station.
