Deerfield board approves FOG sewer regulations and EMS goals. Board members Tim Hilchey, Trevor McDaniel, and Blake Gilmore voted unanimously to adopt fats, oils, and grease management regulations effective February 1, 2026, protecting the sanitary sewer system from blockages caused by food service discharge following a public hearing. The Board also unanimously endorsed South County EMS Chief Joshua Sparks' fiscal year 2027 goals and objectives, which include clinical excellence and a new ambulance purchase with rebranded design debuting within weeks.
Additional unanimous approvals included a one-day liquor license for Yankee Candle Village on February 14, an auctioneers license for Douglass Auctioneers at 241 Greenfield Road, and adoption of an Environmentally Preferred Purchasing Policy.
