Deerfield Selectboard Approves $1 Million Elm Street Grant

Deerfield Selectboard backs $1 million Elm Street improvement grant. The board unanimously approved a MassWorks Grant Agreement for $1 million in funding for comprehensive Elm Street roadway improvements, with Town Planner Alex Galloway detailing how the funds will be leveraged with Complete Streets support and coordinated with Eversource, local business owners, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The board also authorized a $103,000 contract amendment with engineering firm Tighe and Bond for additional bid administration and construction phase services on the Elm Street project.
Separately, the board unanimously approved a $33,371 fiscal year 2027 landfill monitoring and reporting contract with Alta Technical Consultants and declared a 2015 Ford Interceptor Utility Cruiser surplus property for transfer at no cost to the Warwick Police Department.
