Deerfield Planning Board Approves Lot Split, Studies Housing Zoning

Deerfield Planning Board endorses lot split on South Main Street. The Planning Board voted 5-0 to approve the Approval Not Required plan for 27 South Main Street, Map 175, Lot 15, splitting a parcel for owners Garly Peters and Nancy Lashway, with the plan prepared by Harold L. Eaton and Associates.

In separate business, graduate students from Conway School of Landscape Design presented preliminary findings on a housing-needs analysis examining how zoning changes could balance rural character with housing availability. The town has applied for the state's Rural and Small Town Housing Community of Choice designation and will present updated findings to the Zoning Board of Appeals on March 19.
