DEDIC votes to authorize outside counsel for industrial park legal matters

Deerfield board seeks counsel on industrial park matters. The Economic Development & Industrial Corporation voted unanimously to authorize member Robert Decker, III to identify attorney candidates representing the board on potential Whately Road sewer connection issues. The board addressed recent sales and development stalls at industrial properties, including Goulet Trucking's sale to Page GTC without required DEDIC notice and Worthington Assembly's declaration of no construction plans within 12 months.
Chair John P. Paciorek indicated he will pursue buying back the Worthington property to enable higher-revenue development.
