Commission continues MassDOT hearing with new wetland rules

Deerfield Conservation Commission continues MassDOT rotary project hearing with new environmental conditions. Chair Peter Law required additional signage in wetland replication areas and annual maintenance reports on stormwater catch basins for the Routes 5 and 10 intersection improvement project. The commission voted unanimously to continue the hearing to May 28 and also approved two emergency certifications for beaver dam removal and work on Sheldon Brook.
The commission voted unanimously to authorize Conservation Agent Tim Eve-Cowles as an additional signatory for emergency certifications and enforcement orders when the chair is unavailable.
