Commission approves determination for Cross Street project

Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 13, 2026

Deerfield Conservation Commission approves determination for Cross Street house project. The commission approved a Form 2 negative determination for applicant Jeremy Ober's proposed 1,400-square-foot ranch home on Map 169, Lot 79, allowing construction to proceed with erosion-control conditions. The determination followed a site inspection that revealed a hydraulic connection to nearby wetlands on state DEP mapping but concluded no wetland delineation was required.

Erosion controls must extend from the Cross Street culvert northerly around the construction area using hay waddle and silt fence; foundation height will be determined by water-table depth during excavation.
