Bank and Trust Transfers Dominate Deerfield's August Deed Filings
Deerfield recorded 12 property transfers between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only one deed disclosed a sale price: the Aug. 17 transfer of 82 Whately Road from Samuel A. and Chelsea A. Urkiel to Greenfield Savings Bank for $50,000. Eight of the 12 transactions listed a bank, credit union or mortgage servicer as buyer or seller, including two same-day purchases by K Realty LLC from Greenfield Savings Bank. Two transfers moved property into or within a family revocable trust. Lower Road and Capt. Lathrop Drive each had two recorded transfers. With price data disclosed in just one of 12 deeds, the underlying data does not support broader conclusions about market direction this period.
