Bank and Trust Transactions Dominate Sparse Deerfield Deed Activity in Late July
Deerfield recorded 15 property transfers between July 24 and Aug. 22, but only three disclosed a sale price, ranging from $50,000 to $100,000 with a median of $100,000. The period's top disclosed sales were 408 Greenfield Road and 21 Mountain Road, each at $100,000. Nine of the 15 transfers involved a bank, credit union or mortgage company as buyer or seller, and five transfers clustered on Sugarloaf Street and Sugarloaf Road. With 12 of 15 sales lacking a disclosed price, the available data does not support characterizing the period as strong or weak for conventional home sales.
