Assessors Sign Motor Vehicle Excise Levy, Process Property Changes

Deerfield Board of Assessors approved the 2026 Motor Vehicle Excise Commitment #3 at its May 19 meeting. Members Skip Sobieski and Frank Leone voted 2-0 to remove Map 96 Lot 1 from Chapter 61 classification. The board also approved motor vehicle excise abatements from the submitted list and directed the clerk to process decedent name removals from two properties, while advising the owners of Map 129 lots 3 and 3.1 regarding river encroachment issues and fiscal year 2027 abatement options.
