1888 Building Committee Approves Solar Contract and AV Equipment Award

DEERFIELD — The 1888 Building Advisory Committee advanced two equipment contracts for the municipal building renovation. The three-member committee unanimously recommended awarding the Main Meeting Room Audio-Visual equipment contract to Valley Communications and approved a rooftop solar installation contract with WJ Mumford for the new addition. Owner's Project Manager Robert Todisco reported framing, roof sheathing, and interior work proceeding on schedule with approximately $160,000 in committed change orders and over $1 million in contingency reserves.
The project remains within budget despite pending cost adjustments for elevator modifications, sprinkler bracing, and office redesign.
