DEERFIELD — 1888 Building Advisory Committee unanimously approved a $196,686 change order for site-work improvements including concrete sidewalks, entry plaza, parking reconfiguration, and landscaping. Robert Todisco reported approximately $7.8 million of the $8.7 million project budget committed, leaving $840,000 uncommitted and $781,000 in available contingency before the site-work approval. Kuhn Riddle Architects requested an additional $73,500 construction-administration fee, having expended more than 1,785 hours and approximately $289,000 as of September 30, 2026 — nearly triple the original $92,000 estimate — but the Committee did not vote and requested further analysis.
Elevator installation has begun and a site visit is scheduled for October 16.
